What is your primary product or service?
Progressive Care Partners helps seniors and people with disabilities stay in their homes by providing non-medical care in the home. This includes personal care, help with activities of daily living, incidental transportation and much more.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The work we do at Progressive Care Partners is very personal to me and it is my passion. In 2000 my mother, Barbara, suffered a spontaneous brain hemorrhage caused by complications from MS. My siblings and I found ourselves in the challenging situation facing families each and every day, caring for a loved one who is unable to care for themselves. We understood how important it was for my mother to be at home, surrounded by family, so I became a primary caregiver for my mother until she passed away in 2007. I spent the past three decades as a Human Resources executive with several Fortune 500 companies. Due to the impact my mom’s illness had on me, I made it a personal commitment to help break down barriers in the workplace for people with disabilities. I have also been involved with several California-based non-profit organizations including the San Francisco Mayor’s Committee for Employment of People with Disabilities. My personal experiences ultimately led me to leave corporate America and form Progressive Care Partners, providing personalized care for the elderly and those who wish to remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible. My staff is hand-picked and trained by me. They have the qualifications and certifications required, as well as the right personality to treat clients like family members. This is not a job for them…it is a personally rewarding experience. Just as it is for me.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our caregivers are employees of Progressive Care Partners and are thoroughly screened, bonded and insured. We also have a proprietary Certified Companion Aide certification program that caregivers go through during their first 90 days. Progressive Care Partners is a proud member of The Senior's Choice, the largest network of independently owned and operated senior care companies.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We serve the entire Coachella Valley including Palm Springs, Indio, Palm Desert and Yucca Valley.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Progressive Care Partners is locally owned and operated by Victor Ide. Vic lives in Palm Springs, CA.
